COFIL is a beautifully crafted ceramic filter, handmade by craftsmen in Japan. It is designed to bring out the natural flavour, aroma and smoothness of your favourite drinks — without the need for paper filters.

Made with countless fine 50-micron pores, the ceramic body allows water to flow through smoothly while filtering out unwanted impurities and odours. Unlike paper filters, COFIL lets the aromatic oils of coffee pass through, helping to create a richer, cleaner and more rounded cup.

Inspired by the natural lotus effect, the surface of the ceramic features fine microscopic textures that help reduce clogging and allow water and residue to pass through more easily. The ceramic material also produces a far-infrared effect, which helps soften the taste of water and gives coffee, tea and even alcoholic drinks a milder, smoother finish.

<Caring Tips>

• Use medium to dark roasted coffee grounds with a texture similar to granulated sugar. Very finely ground coffee, such as powder-like or salt-sized grounds, is not recommended as it may clog the ceramic pores.
  
• After use, rinse with clean water and allow to air dry. Do not scrub the surface with a brush, as this may damage the fine ceramic pores. Do not use detergent or cleaning agents.
  
• If coffee oils or residue remain on the filter, place the filter in boiling water for around 10 minutes, then air dry. If the pores are still blocked, heat it over a medium flame for around 15–20 minutes, or bake it in an oven at 200°C for 15–30 minutes. Allow it to cool completely before rinsing with hot water.
  
• Powdered coffee or tea is not suitable for this filter cup, the powder may block the tiny holes.
• Do not used in microwave or dishwasher.
